National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth development organization that operates in India, designed to instil values of discipline, leadership and patriotism among the country's youth. Established on April 16, 1948 by the Government if India, the NCC aims to create a pool of disciplined and trained future citizens who can contribute positively to the nation's growth.
Open to students from various educational institutions, the NCC offers its members a structured platform to engage in a range of activities that promote physical fitness, leadership skills and social responsibility. The organization is categorized into three branches- Army Wing, Navy Wing and Air Wing. Each wing focuses on its respective domain, offering cadets exposure to military drills, adventure activities and community service. NCC is a transformative platform that plays a pivotal role in shaping the character and capabilities of Inda's youth.
